Musings of a Physio Student

Concussion - Temporary loss of normal brain function with COMPLETE RECOVERY, caused by a hit to the head. You will have a short [maybe seconds] period of unconsciousness, or may just get dizzy and see spots.

Above is a picture of Mike the Situation from the Jersey shore, after slamming head-first into the wall, which caused him to have a concussion.

After recovery, the caregiver must stay alert to these signs of increased ICP:

    1- Difficulty awakening

    2- Difficulty speaking

    3- Confusion

    4- Severe headache

    5- Vomiting

    6- Pulse changes

    7- Unequal pupils

    8- One-sided weakness

PortraitHello! We are a pair of good friends from the only Physio school in Singapore. We go by the nicknames, crabby and fatty.

These are primarily stuff we wished we had someone to tell us. We also only reblog items relevant to physio. We hope to increase the awareness of what physiotherapy is about. Occasionally, you may hear about our day.

You can leave a message in our 'ask' box if there's anything :)

Current status: GRADUATED .
